“The Friendly Car Club” – in New Zealand

Members and guests enjoy
a gathering at the club
rooms at Haruatai Park

-Our club is known as the Friendly Car Club.
Fellowship
While our cars and touring New Zealand are our common interests, members greatly enjoy the fellowship that club membership provides.
See New Zealand The Classic Way
We are blessed to live in such a beautiful country and what better way to explore it than “The Classic Way” with the MECCNZ!
Monthly Outings
Weekend trips are organised monthly and comprise either one day or two day trips to interesting locations, historical sites, museums, markets and scenic spots around New Zealand.
Annual Long Run
Every year in the summer, a long run is planned. The object is to reach places that cannot be reached in a weekend and make contact with members throughout the country. The trip usually takes about two weeks and alternates between the North and South islands. Registration packs covering details such as the route, distance, venues and accommodation are available at the AGM in June. Members need not have an old car to enjoy these activities. Modern vehicles are welcome too.
Our Club House
Our clubrooms are located at the beautiful Haruatai Park, in Mill Road, Otaki. Here a parts store of second hand parts is available to members at reasonable prices. Members can check availability of parts once a month when the clubrooms are open for a committee meeting, or at other times by arrangement.

Our Archives
The club also has a considerable archive of technical data that members can use. Members living in other parts of the country or overseas can send in questions and a club member will research and respond with an answer. This may include advice on restoration techniques or help to keep your vehicle in top condition.
Club Newsletter
We publish ten “Nuffsaid” newsletters a year. Members may choose to receive these in full colour by email or by post (or both).
