
Archived Awards
The club has a number of archived awards. These are awards that have been replaced or are no longer awarded. Some are awards that were created for specific events, awarded, and then given back to the club when the recipients passed on. Each award has a story and what is known of the story has been documented here.

Blackstone Trophy
The original Blackstone Trophy is a wooden trophy mounted on a trophy base. It was donated by foundation member, the late Les Blackstone-Angus. It was awarded for the best Morris Eight restoration. No records of the recipients have been found. A replacement trophy was donated by the late Shaun McCarthy in 1995 and the original archived. It is held in the trophy cabinet at the club rooms.

Ist SSCCR Events Trophy
The 1st SSCCR Eevents Trophy is a horses shoe mounted on a wooden base with a club badge attached. No records have yet been discovered relating to the award of this trophy. It has been archived and is held in the trophy cabinet at the club rooms.

MECCNZ Rally – Top of the South 1989 Trophy
The MECCNZ RALLY TOP OF THE SOUTH 1989 Trophy is a piston and connecting rod mounted on a wooden base. No records of the award or the recipients have yet been discovered. It has been archived and is held in the trophy cabinet at the club rooms.

ME Rally 1989 Piston Broke Trophy
The ME Rally 1989 Trophy is a piston and connecting rod mounted on a wooden base. The piston has a valve inserted into it. No records of the award or the recipients have yet been discovered. It has been archived and is held in the trophy cabinet at the club rooms.

Morris Rally1989
The Morris Rally 1989 Trophy is half a Morris Eight piston mounted on a wooden shield. No records of the award or the recipients have yet been discovered. It has been archived and is held in the trophy cabinet at the club rooms.

Morris Enthusiasts 25 Years of Motoring Hard Luck Trophy
The Morris Enthusiasts 25 Years of Motoring Hard Luck Trophy is a damaged connecting rod and piston attached to a wooden shield. It appears to have been created for the 25th anniversary of the club. No records of the award or the recipients have yet been discovered. It has been archived and is held in the trophy cabinet at the club rooms.

Most Attended Morris Minor at Runs from Manawatu
This is a wooden trophy originally donated by the late Jim Carrick to the Wanganui-Manawatu Morris Minor Club in 1992. The trophy appears to have had a dual purpose as “the most attended Morris Minor at runs from Manawatu” and “ The Best Original H/Light S/Valve Tourer at the Morris Minor National Convention”. Most Attended Morris Minor at Runs from Wanganui
This is a wooden trophy originally donated by the late Jim Carrick to the Wanganui-Manawatu Morris Minor Club in 1992. The trophy appears to have had a dual purpose as “the most attended Morris Minor at runs from Wanganui” and “ The Best Original Lowlight Tourer at the Morris Minor National Convention”. The trophy has a slightly smaller base that the Manawatu version described above. Recipients of the trophy were;
